Dianne O'Brien

Dianne O’Brien is the Sr. Director for Business Strategy and Operations for Windows Azure. Dianne has been with Microsoft for ten years. During her Microsoft tenure, she has managed the Global R&D finance team, the Corporate Planning group, served as IT Controller, and was an Audit Director in Internal Audit. In addition to her finance and business acumen, she has a passion for people, evidenced by her management of the undergraduate finance intern program and her development and delivery of Microsoft’s undergraduate Finance Rotation Program. Prior to joining Microsoft, Dianne was the Assistant General Manager of a water district in San Diego county, where she distinguished herself by the implementation of major technology initiatives. She also worked as a Staff Auditor for Peat Marwick, held multiple Controller positions, and exhibited her entrepreneurial side by managing her own CPA practice. Dianne holds a BBA in Accounting from the University of San Diego, lives with her husband on Whidbey Island, and enjoys fishing and watching baseball.
