Join the Conversation at PDC Special Events
PDC attendees have access to a variety of special events and activities designed to provide more opportunities for one-on-one interaction with Microsoft product and technology experts, as well other elite developers and architects. Don’t miss out on a key part of the PDC experience!
Hands on Labs
Drill down on the latest platform technologies at your own pace in the Hands-on Labs, staffed with program managers and developers from the product teams that have designed and developed these technologies. Each of the Hands-on Labs give you an opportunity to step through the process of implementing a solution on new technologies, many of which will radically change the way you implement future solutions.
Ask the Experts
Twitter? Facebook? LinkedIn? Forget such impersonal methods of networking and instead come to “Ask The Experts” where you can meet face-to-face with Microsoft technology experts as well as your peers to exchange thoughts, opinions, and feedback regarding the next generation of Microsoft platform technology.
Birds-of-a-Feather
Birds-of-a-Feather are one-hour open, moderated discussions on a popular topic proposed, chosen and hosted by conference attendees. Take this opportunity to continue the technical conversation of the conference, meet with others that have common professional interests and exchange ideas on a variety of topics. Learn more about Birds-of-a-Feather.
Women In Technology Networking Luncheon
Come to the PDC09 Women in Technology Luncheon (Wednesday, November 18) to meet and share stories with the powerful, insightful, and intelligent women attending PDC09. Take part in speed mentoring - an opportunity to gain insight from colleagues' experiences in the workplace through a confidential circle of peers - based on 'mentoring circles' design, but turbo charged for PDC. We hope you will join host Shoshanna Budzianowski, Partner Group Program Manager at Microsoft, for lunch while learning from each other's wisdom and successes! Learn more....
The Big Room
Thought it couldn’t get any better than technical sessions at PDC? Think again! Whether you’re hungry for more content or looking for a place to chill, we’ve got you covered. Engage in conversations with PDC speakers and Microsoft product staff, test drive the latest code in the Hands-on Lab, talk to partners in the Expo, or hang with your fellow geeks in one of the many lounges. Brain on overload? How about a quick Xbox game? No matter what you do in the Big Room, you’ll be in the center of all the action.
Microsoft Product Pavilion
Learn about current Microsoft products or technologies, as well as new ones scheduled to be released in the coming year. The Product Demo Stations, located throughout the Big Room, are hosted by Microsoft product team members who know their products inside and out. Come discuss strategies for architecting, deploying, managing, and securing a connected IT infrastructure in your own business environment or your client's.
Puzzle Dev Crew
The Puzzle Dev Crew is a group of Microsoft employees who love to write and solve puzzles. We run puzzle events of all shapes and sizes for Microsoft employees, interns, and friends. Easy puzzles might only take a few minutes for a novice to solve. Expert puzzles can keep experienced solvers busy for hours, and might not even have any instructions! This year, we’re proud to bring some of our puzzles to PDC09, and we hope you enjoy them; in fact, this introduction may even tell you how we’ve posted our initial puzzle!
